Trio Klez-bal
The trio Klez-bal presents a pared-down yet authentic approach, showcasing three iconic instruments of Jewish music from Eastern Europe: the violin, cimbalom, and bass. Long before the accordion and clarinet became synonymous with Klezmer, this tradition was deeply rooted in string instruments.
Amit Weisberger (Israel/France), with his expressive violin and vocals, Mihai Trestian (Moldova), a master of the cimbalom, and special guest Eline Duerinck (Belgium) on cello, will bring traditional Jewish wedding dances to life.
In a playful twist, the Klezmer melodies are reimagined to suit a bal folk setting. So, grab your dancing shoes and join us for Polkas, Mazurkas, Schottisches, Bourrées, Waltzes, and even Tangos!
