For all musicians with at least intermediate instrument skills. For any percussionists or drummers who might be interested, please note that the focus
will primarily be on learning tunes.
Registration is required for all three days of workshops.
10:00 – 12:30 & 14:00 – 17:00
This unique workshop invites musicians of all instruments (fiddlers and non-fiddlers) to learn tunes by ear, arrange them, and play them together. Some of the fiddle teachers of the other workshops will pass by and teach a
tune to the ensemble. By the end of the three days, you will have learned around eight tunes in different styles, from different masters. A selection of these will be arranged and performed at the closing concert on Saturday
evening.
Because every day builds on the tunes you learned the day before, participants are expected to commit to all three days of the workshop. You can play your instrument fluently and have
experience playing by ear.
Accordionist Jonas Malfliet, an experienced Ethno mentor, will guide this process and help to keep things on track.
